Living with cancer is one of the most stressful experiences an individual and their loved ones can experience.

Support groups are helpful resources for  coping with the emotional aspects of cancer by providing a safe place to share feelings, experiences and challenges.

We offer a variety of support groups for patients, caregivers, and family members.  Groups are offered periodically throughout the year. When support groups are not available, please do continue to reach out to your supportive care team for service referral and support. You can find members of the supportive care team at the Abramson Cancer Center on the Staff page

Following are some support groups offered at Abramson Cancer Center at Pennsylvania Hospital:

Caring for the Caregiver

Overwhelmed? Looking for information? Scared? Feeling alone? These are normal reactions!

One of the hardest jobs in the world is to be a caregiver.  It is very easy to get overwhelmed. Sometimes the person who has been there for everyone else needs someone to be there for them.

This support group offers a private space to connect and share with other caregivers who also have a loved one facing cancer.
