Shiatsu Therapy

Shiatsu therapy is based in traditional Chinese medicine and focuses on treating the patient with hand pressure and other manual techniques that enhance wellness and reduce the symptoms of imbalance in the body.

Shiatsu enhances the ability of the body, mind and spirit to care for itself. It is relaxing, comforting, stress reducing, and it feels great!

Sessions are typically provided in a massage chair (as pictured) with the patient fully clothed. No lotions or oils are used in shiatsu.

Shiatsu sessions are available at no charge to all patients of the Abramson Cancer Center at Pennsylvania Hospital.

Therapist: Wayne Mylin, Dipl. ABT (NCCAOM)
